General:

Yikes!!!

I'm trying to keep up. I'm working on part IV of "Pleasant melancholy and the Black Pit of Despair", but it's not there yet. I'm not suffering from writer's block, but I haven't gotten it into the form I want to get it into before posting. The first three parts were preliminary, now I'm getting to the heart of what if feels like to be depressed, and how easy it is to trod the path to the Black Pit of Despair without knowing it. I want to make sure I get it right.

Starting the "We the People" weblog is taking more time than I expected as well, although it has not been without amusement, especially being referred to as "some guy named Jack" by James Joyner of Outside the Beltway fame.

I'm also trying to post to Pennywit, but I'm not familiar with the web-based system in use there, so I'm still on the steep part of the learning curve.

Now, I seem to be having DNS problems because of my recent host and domain name registrar switch.

Plus, I do still have to do the cutting edge research into new materials to be used in these nifty ICs that we build our computers out of. I'm currently writing this on a PowerBook whose CPU was built in the factory where I perform my research. There's an odd feeling associated with that.

Oh, well... There are worse things in life.
