Quotes:

For those who complain about the "mainstream media"...

    By Jack Grant

...a simple statement of priorities that explains the decisions made on what to publish and report, if you're willing think about it instead of simply rant and rage:

For most folks, no news is good news; for the press, good news is not news.

What is this a commentary on?

"If it bleeds, it leads", or the claims of media bias by many who say that their side is portrayed in a bad light by media coverage?

The media focusing on bad news is almost always not a sign of bias- at least not of a bias any greater than catering to certain segments(the majority?) of the population's desire to see a certain gruesome sort of pornography on the nightly news.

That, ceratinly, isn't defensible, though they do try to.

Looks like it's pretty clearly the bias one, considering the post below that I managed to completely miss.

Typical.

Trying to hold the center in not so quiet desperation while the left and the right do their damnest to tear everything apart.

What Others Say
An American transplanted to France for the moment, Jack is sometimes conservative, sometimes liberal, and almost always right.

Jack has an impressive knowledge of history, politics, and Keanu Reeves. When it comes to pirates, Jack is waaay sexier than that pansy Dread Pirate Roberts. Oh, wait--I'm thinking of Jack Sparrow...

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
