A post for John

    By Jack Grant

John of Argghhh! has been driven to say, "Argghhh!!!" by an idiotic preacher.

I can fully understand John's anger, and I share it.

For John, I can offer this, a song I remember when I run across overzealous Christians:

The Austin Lounge Lizards, from their album Lizard Vision:
"Jesus Loves Me But He Can't Stand You"

NOTE: 3.5Mb MP3 file, right click to download if you don't want network congestion problems...

NOTE 2: Their bluegrass version of "Brain Damage", originally from Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd is also not to be missed!!!

NOTE 3: I do not support illegal sharing of music. I ask you to delete the file from your hard drive after listening once, and I strongly encourage you all to buy the album if you can, it's really good!

John, I hope listening to it helps.

Trying to hold the center in not so quiet desperation while the left and the right do their damnest to tear everything apart.

What Others Say
An American transplanted to France for the moment, Jack is sometimes conservative, sometimes liberal, and almost always right.

Jack has an impressive knowledge of history, politics, and Keanu Reeves. When it comes to pirates, Jack is waaay sexier than that pansy Dread Pirate Roberts. Oh, wait--I'm thinking of Jack Sparrow...

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
