Letters from Europe:

A photo from Prague

    By Jack Grant

I haven't yet written of my visit to Prague and the impressions it made upon me. I hope to do so soon.

Until then, enjoy this photo of the inside of the Saint Vitius Cathedral. I've discovered that the photos of cathedrals never capture the true open feeling that one has inside them, despite the massive amounts of stone surrounding the interiors.

Wow. I never made it to Prague and this picture makes me wish I had tried even harder to get there.

More Prague pictures, please!

I lived in Prague for five years and was never able to get a really great picture of the inside of St. Vitus. But my best wasn't nearly as good as this one. Very nice composition.

Wow -what a great photo. It almost looks as if you were lying on your back to frame such a shot. I feel as if I'm right there - wish I could be! Thanks for sharing, Jack. I can't wait to read about your trip.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
