General:
Frank Gorshin has died
By Jack GrantFor those who do not recognize the name, he played The Riddler in the 1960s Batman television series in a campy yet fitting performance that displayed his great talent to those willing to see.
The best tribute to him, however, is likely this:
Gorshin's wife of 48 years, Christina, was at his side when he died Tuesday at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, his agent and longtime friend, Fred Wostbrock, said Wednesday. They stayed together for 48 years.
That says a lot.
Posted by Jack Grant at 17:58 on 18 May 2005He was always my favorite of ALL of the Batman villains. Sad.
Posted by: caltechgirl at May 19, 2005 01:55 AMThat takes me back to grade school - Batman everything - lunch box, etc. I loved that show - and the Riddler was one of the best characters.
Y'know - my parents had celebrated their 47th just months before Mom died. We always regretted not having any big party to celebrate their 45th. How sweet to see couples still together after so long.
