Humor:

An important question

    By Jack Grant

Tonight I am having for dinner a meal including one of my favorite dishes, something I have only been able to make after my parents sent me supplies from the US, because the ingredients are not easily available here in France.

As I prepare to eat, an very important question arises which if answered poorly could detrimentally affect the entire meal. This is a question that needs an answer before I start, a vital question.

What wine goes best with macaroni and cheese?

Red! It adds more color to the table setting...

a nice full red, but not too woody. It'll pick up the cheesyness.

Baby Duck.

It is the Kraft dinner of wines.

A nice, crisp, semillon chardonnay.

Also, good balsamic vinegar added to the cheese sauce. Failing that, some Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce is always good with cheese :-)

Damn, I'm hungry now..

I have to ask, is this a baked Macaroni and Cheese, or a skillet/saucepan version? My husband says the the only meal I actually know how to make from scratch is M&C casserole ;-)

If I were to drink wine with it, I think it would be a light Pinot Noir ...

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
