General:
A note on categories
By Jack GrantI'm sure you notice below in a post categorized as "Opinion" I get rather vehement about the recently passed bankruptcy bill. To avoid confusion and injury of any virgin eyes, here is what I mean when I categorize posts:
Opinion is when I have a strong bias about an issue. I'm not trying to be balanced, and often I'm angry. Read these posts at your own risk to your delicate sensibilities.
Commentary is when I am trying to provide a balanced view on an issue. I may not succeed, but I ask questions to provoke thought rather than try to persuade to a certain point of view.
Some Thoughts is when I am engaging in an almost stream-of-consciousness writing about a topic, but it is not motivated by anger or any other strong emotion, it is generally on a topic I feel is important but being neglected.
Patterns in the White Noise is used when I see a larger trend in the furor de jour, a trend that may have implications that are not currently recognized.
The rest of the categories should be self explanatory, and I hope soon to finally get my new templates for the weblog online so there's a pull-down menu for the categories and the archives.
