I can't read my favorite blogs any more...
By Jack Grant...because ALL of them, right-wing and left-wing, are going completely apeshit over the election.
I can't do this any more.
I can't let my blood pressure rise with all the distortions, all the unthinking hatred, all the bias, all the "blame the other guys, but ignore our own transgressions," all the idiocy any more.
Otherwise, I'll post something I regret.
Otherwise, I'll start to believe that the human race on the whole is too stupid to deserve even survival, much less the freedom that those of us who are citizens of the United States enjoy.
I cannot believe how people who I feel are well grounded can completely ignore the offenses of their own side because they are so busy screaming about those of their opponents.
We are destroying ourselves.
Perhaps we deserve what we get out of this...
Posted by Jack Grant at 22:06 on 25 October 2004Oh, good. More time for you to read MY blog. Because I refuse to believe I'm one of the aforementioned "apeshit" bloggers.
Posted by: Jennifer at October 26, 2004 07:17 AM... I'm with Jen.. come on over to SWG.. take a walk on the wild side, Jack.... the content may be shit, but at least it's not apeshit.. well, not yet anyway...
Posted by: Eric at October 26, 2004 02:53 PMI know you're not talking about me, because there is no way my blog would be on the favorite list...but, I admit I might be a little apeshit right now. It is sad that we only have two choices, but true. Right or wrong, everyone has to make a choice.
I'll be glad when this election is over, although I think it will ultimately be decided in the courts, and linger on for a while...I just want it over!
Anyway, I hope you had a good 40th. People are still talking about mine...I guess that means it was good. I don't remember.
Posted by: Sam at October 26, 2004 11:12 PMYeah, I'm not going apeshit either. But you know that. :)
Posted by: Boudicca at October 27, 2004 03:57 AMI'm with you, Jack. And you too, Bou. Only a few more days before the mushroom cloud, which will probably be a beginning -- not an ending. WOE!
