Commentary:
A legitimate question
By Jack GrantIf John Kerry apparently cannot lead an effective national campaign, responding to changing circumstances, is that an indication of how he might perform as President of the United States?
Posted by Jack Grant at 08:57 on 16 September 2004I don't think Kerry's really been pushed to the wall yet. His performance in the primary might prove instructive: A roaring start, followed by a few months of sputtering, then a come-from-nowhere victory after everybody had written him off.
Note the sequence of events in the general election.

I wonder if that's the right characteristic to fight a long, slogging, slow, tedious, dangerous, stalemated, difficult war, though.
As always, time will tell.
Posted by: Jack at September 16, 2004 09:18 PMResponding to changing circumstances might require some flip-flopping. Kerry, I think, has developed a complex about that.
