And to think all I did was speculate about why I link or delink... he made an active call for suggestions.
I admire his cojones. And the comments were priceless... who knew there was so much enmity against the big dogs?
If the post/question/poll/whatever served no other purpose, it presented (again, in the comments) a fascinating snapshot of another facet of the blogworld.

I just goes to show than envy and jealousy are still parts of human nature. I guess if we weren't all attention whores, we wouldn't write weblogs, would we?

In the spirit of full disclosure, however, I'll freely admit I still don't get the outpouring of joy when Rachel Lucas started writing again. All I've seen so far is a poor imitation of Hamlet: I'm blogging again... oh, no, I'm quitting again... hey! I'm back again...

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
