Back in the USA
by Jack GrantI made it back to Austin without major incident last night. My cat wasn’t very happy, and I wasn’t able to get him to the hotel and the litter box quite fast enough, but it wasn’t the major disaster it was when I traveled with him to France.
Today I get installed in temporary housing and go out to buy the necessities that you cannot carry with you on a trans-Atlantic trip, even when you are moving and not just going on vacation.
I don’t know what kind of Internet connection I will have in the temporary housing. If it’s dial-up only, I’ll have to spend more time at my favorite bar, which has free wi-fi in addition to having over 30 fine single malt Scotch varieties available. Oh, the horror…

welcome back, Jack.
I can sympathize, having flown cross-country with a puppy.
Glad you made it back in one piece!

Glad to hear you arrived safely. I’m sure your kitty will eventually forgive you … but you might want to keep some of the single malt for medicinal purposes, just in case ;-)

Welcome back.
I’m sure your cat will forgive you, in due time. If he is anything like my wife’s cat that’ll be about a year from now.

Welcome to America. Please look around.
As for your cat, that is why every time I move, I eat my pets.
