I don’t care for the attacks on Michelle, either. I think she’s wrong on every issue, but the attacks on her are unfounded.

And I’m not surprised that she and her husband edit each other’s work and sometimes help each other out. Spouses are often the unheralded heroes in an author’s effort. Witness, for example, the bit of folklore surrounding Stephen King’s Carrie, in which Tabitha King pulled it out of the trash can and urged him to send it to a publisher.

Aside from that, I can testify that there is a world of difference between editing and actually coming up with the words yourself. I’m a fairly good editor (if I do say so myself), but writing … writing is far ore difficult for me. I think the two avocations use different parts of the brain.

If you folks are incapable of seeing the irony in the fact that one of the “Unhinged” couple ends up in the newspaper for savagely beating a student photographer, then there’s no hope for you.
