A brief announcement

by Jack Grant

Because of the health issues that my Dad is having, I am moving back to the United States from France in roughly three weeks for reasons that become obvious when the importance of family is considered.

Posting will continue as much as possible, but moving across an ocean does require a certain amount of bandwidth which will reduce many of my activities, including writing here.

Thank you for your patience and your continued reading of my work at Random Fate and the other sites I post.

Unacceptable

by Jack Grant

I disagree with many positions taken by Michelle Malkin (notably I find her views on internment reprehensible). However, the racist and sexist insults hurled at her are totally and completely unjustified, and I urge everyone to condemn this disgustingly unacceptable behavior every time it manifests.

NOTE: The “left-wing weblogs” category is used because the insults are coming from left-wing nutjobs who apparently have absolutely no training in social norms.

Backstory time for Pajamas Media/OSM

by Jack Grant

Dennis the Peasant tells his side of the story with respect to Pajamas Media. While it should be read keeping the source in mind, much of what he describes is very consistent with events after he stopped working with those involved in creating OSM, including the erratic communication and changing business plan.

Interesting, in a train-wreck sort of way. It reminds me of something I used to say, “It’s better to be pissed-off than pissed on.”

…on blogging and the internets

by Jack Grant

It is odd how blogworld works.

You make friends you might never have met, and you gain enemies you would otherwise never have made.

Is this a gain, or a loss?

It remains to be seen.
