Trying to catch up

by Jack Grant

Bloody Hell…

There’s more posting going on now on weblogs worth reading (and linking to) than there were a year ago in the lead-up to the Presidential election.

I’m trying to catch up, and it ain’t easy, even though I’m in a time zone 6 hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time (which ends soon, I believe…).

So…

I’m doing my best, but my best is posting my reaction to trends, often not linking to many who influenced my thoughts, to the detriment of my traffic.

Well, if you read me for my thoughts, I thank you. I do my best.

There is apparently far more to the Pajamas Media story…

by Jack Grant

…than I first imagined.

Perhaps you should read the take on the evolution of the company from someone who was apparently on the true “ground floor” until he was regarded as no longer useful.

As always, in blogworld, take account of the source, including what I have to say.

You can read “My experience with Pajamas Media” and draw your own conclusions regarding my personal opinion on this matter.

In an odd coincidence, I received an email today from Pajamas Media today asking if I wanted to remain on their email list.

While I appreciate the attempt at minimizing unnecessary email, given that they never updated me beyond telling me how I was not wanted, I never regarded them as sending excessive email, rather to the contrary.

It remains to be seen how this pans out, but I am not encouraged by the first steps of the “subversive new media”…

Something to keep in mind…

by Jack Grant

…when you are tempted to write some breathless speculation about who might be indicted, or what might happen next:

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
   -Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 - 1930)
a statement by Sherlock Homes repeated with multiple variations

Do not forget to eliminate the impossible.

By apparently breaking an agreement with Progressive Talk Radio host Ed Schultz…

by Jack Grant

…has the administration through the Pentagon ensured that Armed Forces Radio is nothing but a political propoganda arm of whoever is in power?

Some years ago Rush Limbaugh’s listerners clamored and protested when it looked like Rush wouldn’t be carried on AFR, arguing it involved issues of free speech and expression. So are those principles limited to conservatives who defend the administration — and exclude liberals or centrists who have serious questions to ask and may not use their shows to solidify GOP support?

Do your own research and decide for yourself.

I have made my decision based upon what I have discovered; however, this is one of those issues you need to discover your own evidence and decide what exactly you are willing to believe.
